General Medicine
Primary Care is the first step to building a lasting relationship with a patient. Doctors and dentists were part of the first wave of refugees to flee Venezuela a decade ago (known as the brain drain), leaving many current refugees without proper medical attention for years. There is also a prevalent fear of deportation within the refugee community, leading many of them too frightened to seek medical care through the Ecuadorian systems. Many of those who find themselves in that situation find our clinic to be a God-send, as they trust their community members.
